Bodega Bay is a marine habitat used for recreation, commercial and sport fishing, and is popular for whale watching. But it's also home to a fishing village located about 25 miles west of Rohnert Park. The village of Bodega Bay, named for the bay on which it is settled, offers travelers a variety of activities - golfing, fishing, kayaking, surfing, shopping, hiking, and relaxing on the nearby beaches.
On the way back to Rohnert Park, stop by the small town of Bodega. Fun fact: Along with Bodega Bay, the town of Bodega is where Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds was filmed. Movie buffs can take in landmarks like St. Teresa's Church and the Potter Schoolhouse.
